Our New WhatsApp Channel

We are excited to announce that our first official Boston Borough Council WhatsApp channel is now live! You can follow us to receive important updates and information directly to your phone.

Why WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is one of the world's most popular messaging platforms. This one-way broadcast platform allows you to privately follow your preferred organisations and individuals to receive updates. Users can opt in or out at any time. We hope our WhatsApp channel will enhance our communication, making it easier for residents to receive messages directly from us and providing another convenient and accessible way for you to stay informed.

What can I expect to see?

Follow us to get the latest community news, events, important information, and more delivered straight to your phone. Although WhatsApp channels are a one-way platform, you can respond using an emoji.

What it isn't

WhatsApp channels are different and separate from your Chats in the app. Following our WhatsApp channel does not mean we will feature in your list of personal Chats. Instead, our updates will appear in the Updates tab in the app. Your profile name, photo, and mobile phone number are kept hidden and secure, and are not visible to us or other followers.

How can I join your WhatsApp Channel?

Joining is super easy! Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Scan the QR code below or follow this link.
  2. Once the channel opens, click 'Follow' in the top right.
  3. Make sure you click the bell icon in the top right to turn on notifications, so you never miss an update.
