Making a Difference Case Study - Tegan Harrison

Organisation/Group:

Boston Amateur Swimming Club

Why You Got Involved?

I have been involved with Boston Swimming Club for many years and practically grew up there.  I got involved as it was a change to give back to the place who made me who I am.  I also wanted to be a part of this club to try to give the experience I had.

What Impact/Difference is it Making to the Community?

It is a place for young, older kids and adults to go and have fun.  I've met long life friends here and it feels like a safe place to go.

How Would You Encourage Other to Get Involved in Their Community?

Don't judge something too quickly.  Get involved and have a go.  Join with a friend so this new experience might be less daunting then you originally thought.
