What better way to get into the festive spirit than dressing in a Santa costume and running through the town to raise money for a local charity?

What is the Santa Fun Run?

The annual Boston Santa Fun Run sees 500 dressed-up Santa's running through Boston town centre to raise money for Charity in a fun run for everyone. The 2024 event takes place on Sunday 1^st December as part of the 3-day-long Boston Christmas Festival.

Following a new route which was refreshed in 2023, the Santa Fun Run promises to be better than ever and is a fantastic way to take in the local landmarks, see the historic town, and be part of a fun and rewarding community event.

The event will start with a fabulous warm-up from Vicki and the V-Fitness team.

The run finishes in Boston Market Place with festive music and fun from Endeavour FM, and market stalls.

The Santa Fun Run is also open to those who want to walk - so don't worry if you aren't an avid runner, you can still absolutely take part in this festival experience. The event will host tail walkers who ensure no one is left behind.

And remember, it's not a race! It's all about running with your fellow Santa's and making festive memories that you won't forget!

What is the chosen charity for 2024?

This festive fun run is organised exclusively by volunteers and has been raising money for local causes since 2018. The 2024 charity is Lincs and Notts Aitr Ambulance, a charity which relies on donations to save lives.

What do I need to bring?

Taking place at the beginning of December, there's no guarantee of great weather so make sure you bring good footwear to run or walk in.

To tackle unnecessary waste of minimal-use costumes, you are encouraged to bring your own festive fancy dress - but you will be provided with a lovely plush reusable Santa Hat. So, whether you want to wear the full festive ensemble, or run in your favourite Christmas Jumper, you can guarantee one thing - you will be making a difference and supporting those who need it by taking part in this festive fun run.
