Our parks and ground maintenance team are responsible for managing 14 playgrounds in the Borough.

Central Park

Established in the Victoria times, Central Park is in the heart of the town centre.

The park is a great place to visit. It has numerous facilities for all ages to enjoy. It is especially popular throughout the summer months and is often used by families for an afternoon out in the sunshine. Our facilities include:

  • Bird aviaries
  • Wildlife garden
  • Flower and shrub beds
  • Victorian garden
  • Outdoor gym equipment
  • Basketball hoops
  • Football goal posts
  • Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
  • Skate Park
  • Play area (including wheelchair swing and wheelchair roundabout)
  • Community growing space (fruit and vegetables)
  • Picnic benches
  • Refreshment kiosk
  • Toilets (20p charge)
  • Litter-picked daily

Boston Central Park Closing Times

Spring / Summer - 27th March to 29th October - 5.30am to 10pm
Autumn / Winter - 30th October to 26th March - 5.30am to 6pm

How often are the play areas inspected?

The play areas are inspected weekly by our grounds staff.

Not all play areas are maintained by Boston Borough Council. For all other play areas please contact your local parish councillor.
