Green Refuse Bin
The green refuse bin is for the disposal of all 'non-recyclable' household waste and is taken to the Energy from Waste Plant (EfW) in North Hykeham where it is incinerated to generate electricity.

- Metal items such as cutlery, pots and pans
- Shredded paper (bagged and tied)
- Polystyrene packaging
- Bubble wrap
- Dog/cat faeces (double-bagged)
NO THANKS
- Batteries
- Electrical items
- Hot ashes
- Builders waste (e.g. tiles, plasterboard)
- Hazardous waste, e.g. gas cylinders, asbestos
- Garden Waste
Residents on bagged collections in leui of bins are subject to the same conditions and restrictions as those listed above.
