Disposal of flood damaged furniture, carpets, white goods and waste from your household

All residents stripping their properties of damaged goods are advised to take photographs and videos of the damaged items before removal for insurance purposes.

If insured, please contact your insurance company who will make arrangements to dispose of flood damaged materials/goods or advise you on steps you need to take before disposal of damaged items such a taking photographs for evidence purposes.

If you are a tenant, you should contact your landlord or housing provider to arrange disposal of flood damaged materials/goods or advise on what their procedures are.

UPDATE 13/01/2025 - We have been advised that the demand for the skips is no longer required. However, if you have a need to use our bulky waste removal service you can do so by calling 01205 314200, this will be free of charge for those where flooding has occurred.

If you are not insured and you do not have the ability to make your own arrangements to dispose of flood damaged items you can use the bulky waste service as mentioned above.
