Exciting transformation of Rosegarth Square begins in January

Posted on 13 December 2024

The long-awaited redevelopment of Rosegarth Square is set to take its first steps in January 2025, marking the start of an ambitious project to transform this currently derelict and unsightly area into a stunning space and a gateway to Boston's Town Centre.

Phase 1 of the redevelopment will see the installation of hoardings around the site starting on 6 January 2025, paving the way for demolition works scheduled between January and April 2025. This critical stage is designed to ensure public safety while maintaining access to roads and footpaths, which will remain open throughout the process.

Cllr Anne Dorrian, Leader of Boston Borough Council, said: "Rosegarth Square has long been in need of transformation, and this project represents an exciting opportunity to breathe new life into an area that will soon become a striking gateway to the heart of Boston. We are committed to creating a space that the entire community can take pride in, and this first phase is an important step towards that vision."

While the redevelopment works are underway, occasional drone footage will be captured to document the progress, offering the public a unique view of this exciting transformation.

Key information for residents and visitors:

  • Hoarding installation: From 6 January 2025
  • Demolition period: Between January and April 2025
  • Napier Car Park closure: The former B&M car park will close to the public from 16 December 2024. For alternative parking options, please visit www.boston.gov.uk/carparks

The council will keep the community informed as works progress, ensuring residents and businesses remain updated on this transformative project.

This redevelopment signals a bold step forward in revitalising Boston, turning a neglected space into a vibrant, welcoming gateway to the heart of Boston.
