Share your views to help shape the future of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership

UPDATE - the consultation has been extended to Thursday 30 November 2023

The Partnership made up of Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council formed in October 2021 and is the largest partnership of its kind in the country.

It was formed to enable greater alignment on tackling issues and providing services which are common for each council in the sub-region. Since its creation, it has identified projected savings of more than £24 million through collaboration and more efficient ways of working; and resulted in over £180m of external funding to invest in communities. The collective voice of the Partnership has resulted in greater influence for each Council with external partners at a regional and national level.

Each of the sovereign councils existing corporate strategies are now reaching the end or are due for review soon. Going forward, a Sub-Regional Strategy is being developed which will replace the existing corporate strategies.

The areas of focus from the Partnership business case are Growth and Prosperity, Safer Communities, Healthy Lives and Environment - all of which form the focus for the proposed Sub-Regional Strategy priorities. The strategy will also identify specific priorities of importance for each sovereign council.

A public consultation was launched in early October for residents, businesses and parish councils to share their views. The survey, which takes a few minutes to complete, gives you the ability to write your own thoughts and suggestions to questions relating to the Partnership's priorities as well as local issues for each council.

Cllr Anne Dorrian, Leader of Boston Borough Council; Cllr Craig Leyland, Leader of East Lindsey District Council and Cllr Nick Worth, Leader of South Holland District Council, said: "The Sub-Regional Strategy will be a very important document in ensuring the Partnership continues to prioritise its focus on delivering projects and services which are important to the residents we serve.

"Moving to a single Sub-Regional Strategy is a natural, next step for the Partnership and will further cement the positive joint working between the three Councils and positions the Partnership well for the future.

"We encourage residents, businesses and parish councils to share their views and thoughts. Your opinions are very important to us as we go forward in identifying local priorities for the Partnership."
