Boston's Enchanting 4-Day Christmas Festival: A Festive Delight for All Ages!
The holiday season is about to get even more magical as Boston gears up to host a sensational 4-day Christmas event filled with enchanting activities, dazzling lights, and heart-warming performances. From local theatre characters to mesmerising parades, there's something for everyone in this year's line-up.
Day 1: Illuminate Spectacle with a radiant light switch-on
The festivities kick off with a meet and greet from the Mayor of Boston followed by a burst of theatrical brilliance as beloved Panto characters from local theatre, Blackfriars, come to life. Join familiar faces and relive classic tales in an interactive and entertaining showcase that promises laughter and cheer.
Prepare to be dazzled by the Illuminate Parade, a breath-taking procession of intricately designed floats adorned with captivating lights. Revel in the mesmerising display and experience the true spirit of the season.
As the sun sets, the town will come alive with the twinkling radiance of the Christmas lights switch-on ceremony hosted by Radio Lincolnshire. Witness the magic unfold as Boston transforms into a luminous wonderland, illuminating the town and hearts alike. With walkabout entertainment, face painters and a finale closing off the day's entertainment from top local band 'Revolver'.
Day 2: Enchanted Christmas Market and Community Showcase
On the second day of Boston's festive celebration, the heart of the town transforms once again into an enchanting Christmas market, stroll through the market's charming stalls adorned with holiday treasures, and experience the warmth of community as local artisans and vendors offer unique crafts, delectable treats, and seasonal goodies.
As you explore the market, the stage becomes a focal point of celebration, hosting an array of community acts that showcase Boston's diverse talents.
Entertainment abounds in the market place as well. Step into a real-life snow globe, where you can frolic with cheerful elves and experience a snowfall like no other. Engage your imagination as a skilled face painter turns your face into a work of festive art, adding to the magical atmosphere.
Local performers take centre stage, offering a musical journey through genres and emotions. From soulful ballads to foot-tapping pop tunes, the melodies will resonate with your heart. And of course, no Christmas celebration is complete without a sprinkle of holiday cheer, as local artists present their renditions of cherished Christmas classics that everyone knows and loves.
Day 3: Array of Talent
On the third day of Boston's spectacular Christmas event, the town comes alive with the enchanting harmonies of a cross-cultural dance experience like no other with a variety of cultural dancers. The "Dance Experience" promises a captivating fusion of traditions, showcasing the vibrant cultural tapestry that Boston proudly embraces.
Through dance, we celebrate unity in diversity, this event is a testament to Boston's rich multicultural fabric, where we come together to share our traditions and artistic expressions.
But the magic doesn't stop there. Boston's very own talent show by local theatre group The Biz where the local performers promise to keep you grooving to the rhythm of the holiday spirit, followed by a Boston's Got Christmas Talent show.
Complementing this there will be a variety of market stalls, entertainment and small family fun fair with a finale to close the day from our very own Boston Salvation Army Band.
Day 4: Joyful Jamboree
The grand finale is a day-long celebration featuring a myriad of enchanting activities. Immerse yourself in walkabout entertainment, get your face painted with festive designs, and experience the thrill of a small family fun fair with delightful rides and games.
The Santa Fun Run starts off the day with a build-up commencing from 9am in Boston Market Place with your favourite Christmas Tunes from Radio Endeavour FM, a warm up from V-fitness and pre-event briefing. Starting at 10am in the Marketplace, the route that is just under 5k will begin, you can run, jog or walk dressed in your favourite Christmas jumper or costume wearing your plush Santa Hat which you get for entering. There will be a goody bag, medal and a mince pie waiting for you at the finish along with a festive market including Teenage Market, stalls and trade stands.

"We've curated a line-up that captures the essence of the season, combining tradition with excitement for all ages. Working with local partners including Boston Stump, Pescod Square, Transported Arts and others we will make this year's Christmas event one to remember."
