Local Artisan Shines at Boston Market and Beyond
In an exciting development, meet Naomi Smith, the newest face at Boston Market every Wednesday.
Naomi's journey began at our Teenage Markets, where her handmade jewellery stole the hearts of our customers. Encouraged by family and supported by fellow traders and market officers from Boston Borough Council, she's now a regular delight on Wednesdays.
Naomi's passion and talent extends to Spalding Market every Saturday, showcasing her unique creations. Her handmade jewellery, crafted at home, has found a welcoming home at the heart of our community.
Naomi shares, "I love standing on the market, meeting new people, and having nice chats. It's a fantastic experience!"
The Teenage Markets are aimed to give young people a free platform to showcase their creative talents. It's all about supporting the next generation of market traders and bringing an influx of energy, vibrancy and diversity to towns across the UK. Naomi is the first budding success for Boston with the hope that more will follow in the coming weeks and months.
Councillor Dale Broughton, Portfolio Holder for Town Centre inc Markets, said "Celebrating our vibrant community, I am thrilled to welcome Naomi as a new market trader at Boston Market. Naomi's journey from the Teenage Markets to standing confidently at our market is truly inspiring. It's heartening to witness the support from her family, fellow traders, and our dedicated officers. Let's rally around Naomi and all our local talents, creating a marketplace filled with diversity and creativity. Here's to more growth and success for Naomi Smith at Boston Market!"
