LGA Peer Challenge

In October 2022, the Partnership Councils invited the Local Government Association to undertake a Peer Review of the Partnership and its progress in its first year of formation.

Peers from Local Government and the Civil Service came to the sub-region and met with Councillors, Officers and partner organisations as part of their fact finding.  They also reviewed a detailed evidence base.

The Report from the Peers is available to view at the bottom of this page alongside an action plan which is being delivered.

In September 2023, the Partnership was subject to an LGA Peer Challenge follow-up by the same Peers where we gave updates on the delivery of the action plan. The progress review report can also be found at the bottom of this page. 

We are grateful to all the Peers who took the time to support our Review and follow up; and our Councillors, Officers and partners who also fed their views into both processes.
