Christmas in Boston - what's planned?

Christmas Market and Illuminate Parade

The Boston Christmas Market and Illuminate Parade event will be held on Thursday 24th November 2022 with a Christmas Market open from 12noon to 8pm, entertainment from 4pm to 8pm, and Illuminate Parade 5.30pm to 6.30pm from Central Park to the Five Lamps.

In Boston Market Place and Boston Stump there will be a Festive Market, crafts and entertainment, children's fun fair, street and pop-up entertainment, stalls and food venders. Reindeer will be located outside of St Botolph's from 4pm to 8pm and sign post visitors to Santa's Grotto, which will be located in Pescod Square. Choir and community performances will be shared as both pop up entertainment within the event and in St Botolph's Church.

St Botolph's Church will have performances on throughout the day, from nursery choirs to live singers, art and crafts, face painters, festive trails and more. All performances will be relayed into the Market Place via intercom systems.

Transported Arts will again be undertaking the 'Illuminate Parade' with the theme this year of 'Ocbetete' - Bulgarian for Illuminate, in the form of trails around the town centre throughout the duration of the event.

Endeavour FM will also be broadcasting live throughout the day.

Festive Market and Santa Fun Run

Festive Market entertainment and children's Fun Fair, Sunday 11th December, 10am until 3pm in Boston Market Place. The event consists of market stalls in the Market Place accompanied by children's rides and stalls and food venders. Santa Fun Run 10am to 11am (starting in Central Park). Boston Community Runners are the lead on the delivery of the Santa Fun Run.
