Walking for Health

The Boston Community Walks initiative includes led-walks across the borough. Walks are available from Monday to Friday at various locations across the Borough. All walks are easy walking and offer a 10, 30 or 60-minute walk.

A donation towards venue hire and refreshments of £1.50 is requested which can include up to 9 walks a week if required.  Walks vary from one to three miles in length, are wheelchair and pushchair friendly, take place in all weathers and there is no need for special equipment.  Everyone is welcome, whatever their level of fitness.

Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays)

  • 10.30am to 12.30pm - The Conservative Club, 16 Main Ridge
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm - Kirton Town Hall, Station Road

Tuesdays

  • 10am to noon - Boston Stump

Wednesdays

  • 10am to 12.30pm - Zion Methodist Church, Brothertoft Road
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm - The Evergreens, School Lane, Butterwick

Thursdays

  • 10am to 12.30pm - Swineshead Tutes Baps Cafe, High Street, Swineshead
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm - St Thomas Church Hall, London Road, Boston

Fridays

  • 10am to 12.30pm - Boston Sports and Social Club, Fishtoft Road
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm - Old Leake Community Centre, Furlongs Lane

Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex

Vitality

Vitality is a programme of movement and exercise to music classes for the over-60s or those younger who have medical conditions which prevent them from exercising in any other way.

Vitality aims to bring about improvements in mobility, stamina, balance, posture and coordination. The classes are taken by qualified, experienced instructors and are held in villages and towns around the County, including Kirton and Old Leake.

Boston Parkrun

Boston Parkrun is held at Witham Way Country Park, Tattershall Road, Boston every Saturday morning at 9.00am. This is a FREE, weekly 5km timed run that is open to all ages and abilities. Boston Junior Parkrun

A free, fun and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors aged 4 - 14 year olds every Sunday morning at 9.00 a.m. in Central Park, 8 Thorold Street, Boston, PE21 6PH

Couch to 5k

The NHS Couch to 5K is a free nine-week running plan for people who want to be more active. It's perfect if you're new to running - the plan is all about starting slowly and building up gradually. For more information, visit the NHS exercise website.
