Volunteering is a fantastic way to develop new skills, enhance your CV, contribute to your local community and meet new people.
Lincolnshire CVS manage a volunteer brokerage service supporting individuals to find volunteering opportunities in their local area. They work closely with community groups and voluntary organisations to advertise their volunteering roles enabling volunteers to be placed within these roles.
Getting started couldn't be easier. Contact your local Volunteer Centre to arrange an informal meeting to discuss what your interests are, and to find out what volunteering opportunities are available in your local area.
Every potential volunteer gets a warm personal welcome and has the opportunity to discuss and explore what areas of volunteering they are interested in, what skills they want to gain/use and what time they have available to volunteer. Alternatively, take a look on the National Volunteering website, do-it.org
Volunteering can have a real positive effect on your health & wellbeing by reducing isolation, increasing confidence and self esteem, giving a sense of purpose and therefore creating the 'Feel Good Factor'!
