Who did this belong to?

Do you recognise this three-piece suite?

Boston Borough Council would like to know who the former owner was... so it can recover the cost to council tax payers of clearing the illegally-dumped rubbish away.

The three-piece and other household items, including parts of a bed and a TV, were dumped near Lindis Court in Boston High Street, opposite the Liquorpond Street Surgery.

The council's Operation Fly Swat team cleared the rubbish away, but the owners could have disposed of it themselves, lawfully and for free, by taking it to the Slippery Gowt household waste recycling centre. For just £21 for three large items , or £28 for up to five items, the council will collect unwanted goods such as sofas, chairs, beds and mattresses and take them way for you to be disposed of properly.

Compare that with the maximum fine for fly tipping of up to £50,000 and five years in prison. To report fly-tipped rubbish call 01205 314200.
