Emmerdale live show signed script - soap gold
Soap gold will be on offer to one lucky Emmerdale fan this Christmas in Boston.
Boston BID chairman Alan Ellis and Mayor of Boston, Cllr Paul Kenny, with the Emmerdale live show script and tea towel signed by cast members.
The dramatic pages of the script describing to the actors and crew Carl King's attack and murder by Chastity and Cameron
More than nine million viewers watched the action-packed live episode in which Carl King admitted murder and was then murdered himself, Debbie and Jenny both gave birth and Chastity and Dan and Katie and Declan got married, but only one will win the historic 40th anniversary script signed by all the cast members.
Boston BID (Business Improvement District) chairman, Alan Ellis, of Harmony Music in West Street, who last year brought two stars from the hit ITV show to Boston to switch on the Christmas lights and will repeat that this year with two more from the soap, will auction the script to raise money for the Mayor's charities.
The full script for the episode has been signed on the front cover by 22 of the stars of the hit show about village life in rural Yorkshire which is often anything other than simple.
Alan, who has had a lifetime's career in music, and his wife Moira, have used their celebrity contacts to build a festive relationship between Emmerdale and Boston. Last year actors Fiona Wade and Bhasker Patel, who play Priya and on-screen dad Rishi, toured the town and switched on Boston's Christmas lights.
This year Emmerdale actors Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard) and Lesley Dunlop (Brenda Walker) are coming to switch the lights on.
Alan said: "Boston is becoming second home to the Emmerdale stars at Christmas. We are so grateful to have received this script. I feel it will really appeal to fans of the show and we are hoping it will swell the crowds at Christmas when we auction it at the lights switch-on. It could pull in people from all over the country."
The couple will switch the Christmas lights on in the Market Place at 6.30pm on Friday, November 29.
An Emmerdale tea towel signed by the cast, last year's Christmas in Boston poster featuring Fiona and Bhasker and this year's featuring Chris and Lesley, each signed by both couples, will also be auctioned. Money raised will go to the Salvation Army and Boston branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Boston BID is again planning a three-day Christmas extravaganza to include entertainment and festive markets.
