See Boston on You Tube
Boston Borough Council now has a You Tube presence and will be adding content in the coming months.
The first video is by local film maker and historian Alan Tosney, marking the centenary of St Thomas's Church, Boston, and features members of the congregation and events which occurred during the centenary year.
You can see the film using this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niJqAsP3338
The council's communications unit would be pleased to receive any footage showing Boston borough at its best for inclusion on the site and publicity via the council's website and monthly e-newspaper Boston Bulletin.
Email your MP4 offerings to email@example.com or send or bring your film in on a DVD or memory stick to Andrew Malkin, Communications, Boston Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 8QR.
Alan, who is a founder member of Leverton History Group, has been a member of the St Thomas's congregation for around 20 years and was "volunteered" for the job of centenary film maker because of his experience with a video camera.
An "extra" on his film is the relay of the Olympic flame through Boston. Mr Tosney said: "I could not let that historic event pass by without recording it."
If you like Alan's film, perhaps you are in it, and would like your own personal copy as a DVD, contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org
Copies are available for £5, plus postage and packing and all money raised will go towards the maintenance of the church.
