Report fly-tipping, fly-posting or mispresented waste

Information on how to report fly-tipped, fly-posted and dumped items of waste.

We will remove any items that have been fly-tipped, flyposted, 'dumped', or not disposed of in the correct manner from public land. We cannot remove items if they are on private land.

What do you need to tell us?

We will need to know what items have been flytipped / flyposted / mispresented and where. An inspector will then assess whether the items are safe to move and what equipment is needed prior to removal.

When will it be removed?

In most circumstances items will be removed within 48 hrs, however some items (for example, asbestos) require specialist companies and may take longer to action.

How do I report fly-tipping / fly-posting / mispresented waste?

We are now encouraging residents to come forward if you witness an offence of this kind, with details of the vehicle registration, place of offence, time and description of what has been dumped.

If you do witness an offence of this kind please call us with all these details. We are very keen to prosecute those people who continually spoil our landscape.
