St Botolph's Parish Church (The Stump)
The parish church of Boston. Built in the market place of the town in the 14th Century.
The parish church of St Botolph, with its magnificent lantern tower standing 272ft (83m) high, is a landmark for everyone coming to Boston, and is visible throughout The Fens for miles around. Built mostly in the 14th Century the parish church is one of the largest in England and its tower the highest of any, befitting a town whose medieval prosperity as a port once rivaled that of London.
