Gypsy and traveller site

On behalf of Lincolnshire County Council, the Council manages 24 permanent pitches for gypsies and travellers within Boston.

These fully fenced pitches provide hard-standing for one static caravan, a tarmac drive for two vehicles and a utility block containing a small kitchen, a separate toilet and bathroom, and a metered electricity supply.

Admission onto the site is restricted to people with a travelling background and accessed via a waiting list maintained by the Council.  The site has a visiting warden and  pitches are rented out under strict licence arrangements.

To register for a pitch, you can either contact the Council directly or email your name, current address, household details, address history and contact telephone number to: housing.dept@boston.gov.uk

Boston Borough Council is currently updating its Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Accomodation Needs Assessment and has commissioned Opinion Research Services (ORS) to undertake this work. Further details of the Assessment and ORS can be found on the Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Needs webpage - see Related articles.
