Local planning application validation checklists

Following a 6-week consultation between Monday, October 22 and Friday, November 30, 2018 on new planning application validation checklists, the Planning Committee has agreed the adoption of local lists for planning and other applications and a simpler version for householder developments.

The checklists take account of the responses to the consultation and will be used to validate applications received after the Tuesday, January 15, 2019. 

The checklists identify what is required at a local level, in addition to the national requirements as set out by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to make a complete application.  The information will therefore be requested at the outset, rather than being requested during the statutory time for determination.  A copy of the checklists are available at Submitting an application - Forms, Fees and Guidance
