Do Something New in 2019
The new year is traditionally the time when many people make a resolution to try something new - either by taking up a new hobby or just getting out and meeting new people.
To make the most of this tide of enthusiasm and let people know how many different groups are active within Boston and the surrounding district, a Do Something New event is being held by Heritage Lincolnshire, supported by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service, aimed at promoting what's on offer to people right on their doorstep.
The event, at St Botolph's Church, Church Street, Boston, from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, January 30, will give the public the chance to find out more about groups focused on their hobbies or interests, as well as various volunteering opportunities which enable them to give something back to the community.
Admission to the public is free.
Heritage Lincolnshire is now inviting groups which would like to have a stand at the event to promote their work to get in touch.
Spaces are limited to 12 (tables of up to 6ft only), and the cost per table is £15. Groups taking part are asked to provide their own table if possible.
Stallholders will be able to set up from 9am, and there will be volunteers on hand at the beginning and end of the day to offer assistance.
All money raised will go towards the work of Heritage Lincolnshire, a charity working to conserve the rich history of the county for the benefit of people who live and work in the area.
