There But Not There in Memorial Gardens
Look out for these specially-commissioned life-sized metal sculptures of two First World War "There But Not There" Tommys in Boston's Memorial Gardens on Friday and Sunday.
They will flank the First World War Centenary Memorial at the opening of Memorial Gardens ceremony on Friday and the Remembrance Day event on Sunday.
With rifles at rest and heads bowed, with the addition, by a Boston Borough Council employee, of a poppy apiece, they will provide a solemn and poignant reminder of sacrifices made by the armed forces.
The traditional opening of Memorial Gardens will take place at 10.45am.
On Sunday the Remembrance Day service in Memorial Gardens and memorial rededication will start at 10.45am followed by community remembrance in the Stump.
