Find the fairies at Boston Guildhall
Ireland has its leprechaun little people, Scotland has seelies, Wales has Tylwyth Tegs and Boston has... will-o'-the-wisps. All are members of the fairy community and for one day only the Lincolnshire fairies will leave their marsh and woodland homes to meet at Boston Guildhall.
The fairies cannot travel anywhere without their own front doors, so they can quickly escape to their own homes wherever they happen to be. This risks giving them away. They try to hide their front doors, but they can be found if you look hard enough.
Join in the fairy door hunt between 11am and 3pm at the Guildhall on Saturday, December 8. Tickets are £2.50 for the hunt or £4 to include face painting.
There will be fairy door clues to follow and naughty Christmas elves will be up to mischief.
All children who complete the hunt will receive magical fairy dust and a sweet treat. Dressing up is encouraged - don't forget your wings and wands.
With thanks to Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre, Tony Peers and the Aladdin Boston Babes and Dancers who will be on site to entertain and support these activities.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, but there will be no charge for the adults who are supervising children.
