Let the music play...

HMV is on its way back to Boston.

It will take over the same shop in Pescod Square that it vacated in 2013.

Clive Gibbon, Boston Borough Council's economic development manager, greeted the good news by saying: "This reflects the growing confidence in Boston as a place to do business."

HMV is advertising for staff for its new Boston store, which is hopes to have open next month.

It is looking for a store manager and has asked for suitably-qualified applicants to complete an application at careers@hmv.co.ukand send their CV

It said: "The store manager will be responsible for the leadership and development of the store team to deliver a commercial offer, ensure that the budgeted targets of costs are met, and to fully implement company policies and procedures. You and your team will maintain the highest standards of customer service and operational best practice

If you really know your stuff about the products that we sell and can inspire your team and your customers, we can offer you an exciting career in entertainment retail."

It particularly invites applications from groups which are under-represented in its workforce such as older, female and ethnic minority candidates.
