Celebrating success for BLIC students
Students learning English as a second language were congratulated when two borough councillors presented them with their Introduction to English Accredited Exam certificates.
The students from Bringing Learning into Communities (BLIC) celebrated their success at St Christopher's Church with ward councillor for Staniland, Cllr Brian Rush, and ward councillor for Fenside, Cllr Anton Dani. Cllrs Rush and Dani presented each of the students with their certificates before speaking to the group to congratulate everyone for their success and continued development with BLIC.
The evening's celebrations began with a toast to the success of the students, as well as to the teaching provided by BLIC's trainers, Kevin and Liz. The students are looking forward to progressing to the next level and learning Intermediate English in September.
Excellent food, company and music was enjoyed at a fun and sophisticated evening. The students worked very hard and displayed their unwavering determination throughout the course.
BLIC thanked both Kevin and Liz for their continued commitment to the students and for organising such an event. They thanked Cllrs Rush and Dani for their support and participation in the event, as well as the Vicar of St Christopher's Church, Steve, and their caretaker Jackie for their support for Bringing Learning into Communities.
