Get Active in Boston
Discover all the ways you can become fitter and healthier at this free, fun festival of sport and health and wellbeing hosted in Boston's Central Park.
Funded by Boston Big Local and coordinated by Boston Borough Council, activities include a skate park, climbing wall, free bound and half pipe, dance taster sessions, wheelchair basketball and walking netball.
Learn more about how to eat well, move more and live longer. Have a go at lots of fun sports and physical activities and sample tasty healthy treats. There'll be displays and have-a-go sessions with local sports club, ranging from boxing to bowls, plus lots of educational and fun stalls and activities including a Pirate bouncy castle, face painting, mocktail making, giant board games and target goal.
To help you make positive choices around your own wellbeing and that of your family, experts will be on hand to talk about topics such as debt, dementia, diabetes, alcohol misuse and support services for those who are frail and vulnerable. Free health checks will also be available courtesy of Lincolnshire Co-operative health pod, who are also offering a free cholesterol test for those who bring along one of their dividend cards.
