They grow 'em big in Boston

Paul's got a big 'un. He and his allotment pals from the Willoughby Road site were winners in a grow the biggest pumpkin competition organised by Boston Allotment Association.

A guess the weight competition was won by Liz O'Brien, who was delighted with her prize of lunch at the Lime Restaurant, kindly donated by Boston College.

Guess the giant's weight donations went to the Butterfly Hospice.
The event was sponsored by Johnsons Garden Centre with a £100 of garden vouchers going to the winning entry. Cuckoo Land Allotments were runners up with Wyberton West Allotments third.
