British Red Cross have introduced a new connecting communities service in Boston which offers recipients up to three months free support to tackle loneliness and social isolation.
They help people feel better connected and enjoy the benefits of being more involved in their local community, with the assistance of a skilled volunteer/community connector. They help people to rediscover interests, independence and establish new friends to live confidently in their communities.
The service was available for people of all ages dealing with bereavement, affected by ill health, recently retired, divorced or separated, difficulties getting around, becoming a new parent and children who have just left home to name but a few. Support was also available for carers.
Please see attached leaflet at the foot of this page for further information.
Referrals can be made direct to the Grantham office on telephone number 0345 054 7171 option 1.
