Leaving school or college and unsure of your next step?
The National Citizen Service (NCS), a Government funded voluntary development program for 15 - 17 year olds, will be hosting a morning of motivational talks and activities at the Pilgrim Lounge on Friday August 4, 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Aiming to motivate disadvantaged adolescents, the National Citizen Service combines a week-long outward-bound style course with a week of independent living and time working on 'social action' projects in the local community. Those completing the course receive a certificate, signed by the Prime Minister, at a graduation ceremony.
The morning hopes to inspire local young adults who are unsure of their next steps when they leave school or college.
Entry to this event is free and refreshments will be available. Barnardo's be in attendance and all money raised will go to this charity.
Pilgrims Lounge can be found at Jakemans Stadium, York Street, Boston, PE21 6JN.
