Help find tree vandals

Boston Borough Council is appealing for witnesses after trees, one which had been growing for five years, were destroyed by vandals.

The trees were snapped off in St John's Park, Skirbeck Road, and the damage was first noticed on Saturday, May 6.

More damage was caused after that date - noticed on Wednesday, May 10 - when three fruit trees provided by BTAC (Boston Town Area Committee) had been broken off. These trees were part of a scheme to create a community  orchard where local people could help themselves to the ripe fruit.

CCTV footage from the area has revealed two people Boston Borough Council would like to speak to - two teenagers; a girl aged 14 to 17 years old, with dark hair, dark rimmed glasses and wearing a black bomber jacket and black jeans and a boy aged  14 to 16 years old, slightly built, with brown hair and wearing a  dark top and blue jeans.

If anyone has information about the incident, please call 01205 314318.
