Visitors from France welcomed by Mayor and Mayoress

Visitors from Laval, Boston's twin town in France, have been welcomed to the town by the Mayor and Mayoress.

The students from Robert Buron Academy in Laval are in Boston for a month-long visit, and were welcomed for refreshments to the Mayor's Parlour in Municipal Buildings.

Solange Bruneau-Frileux, president of the Laval Boston Committee, and the students' English teacher, said they were here to work as part of their BTEC qualifications. They are catering and business studies students and have been hosted by Boston businesses. They have been staying in accommodation at Boston College.

She said they planned to visit London and Lincoln in their free time and had already enjoyed traditional fish and chips.
