Residents offered exclusive energy rates through Lincolnshire Energy Switch
Householders who signed up for the latest round of the Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme are receiving their exclusive energy rate offers following an auction between energy companies.
Over 1,500 residents in the county registered in the latest round and could be saving hundreds of pounds on their future bills through auction winner First Utility.
They will supply a range of tariffs exclusive to residents that are not available direct from the supplier or via price comparison services.
And there's still time for households in Lincolnshire who haven't yet signed up to access these exclusive deals until March 20 simply by signing up at Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme
The participating Lincolnshire councils partnered with iChoosr, the UK's leading expert in collective energy switching, and together were able to deliver the bespoke and highly competitive tariffs from the energy provider.
The Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme was combined with a number of other similar initiatives around the UK, to create a collective of more than 62,000 households and was driven by over 80 local authorities.
Now is the ideal time for residents, especially those on standard tariffs, to switch. Residents should see if they could secure a good rate for the year ahead as wholesale energy prices are likely to continue increasing in the coming weeks.
Offer letters and emails are now arriving with those who registered and the last day to request a new letter is Monday March 13. The deadline to accept the offer is Monday March 20.
The scheme is organised by Boston Borough Council, City of Lincoln Council, East Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, South Kesteven District Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council.
Lead officer for the Councils Karen Lond said: "After three years of falling energy prices, energy bills are now rising again. Households which have never switched, or at least not recently, will be hardest hit with these rises so now is the time to switch. There is nothing to lose and no obligation to accept the quote you receive.
"So why not take advantage of these great tariffs First Utility are offering to see if it beats your current energy prices?"
If you're not able to register online, you can do so offline at your local council or by calling 0800 048 8439.
