Police cadets open day could be the start of a uniformed services career

An opportunity for anyone interested in a career in the uniformed services to find out more is coming up on Wednesday, March 15.

Boston Police Cadets will be holding their twice-a-year open day at Municipal Buildings in West Street, Boston, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

There will be an opportunity to meet current police cadets and their leaders, ask any questions and ask for support in how to find and complete the application to join. Anyone can just turn up on the evening, including mum, dad or legal guardian to find out more about what is involved.

Cadets are aged 14 to 18 and come from all walks of life. They get a real taste of life in a uniformed service along with taking part in activities ranging from supporting charities, supporting police officers and other agencies in public events  to undertaking projects such as crime and anti-social behaviour prevention and advice and outdoor pursuits, sporting activities and safety and awareness training. There is a vibrant social side to membership.
