Boston Connected: Community Table - free lunches

A new initiative aims to connect people in Boston through the medium of... food.

Boston Connected: Community Table has been launched by the Parish of Boston and will make free hot lunches available every Tuesday in February between noon and 2pm.

It has been funded by the Church Urban Fund's Near Neighbours initiative. The lunches will be served in the Stump Coffee Shop in St.Botolph's Church. Everyone is welcome. You just need to collect a free voucher from the Stump shop which will entitle you to a meal. The vouchers are available now.

People are also asked to bring along and share their favourite ways of eating pancakes. Just write them down and pin them on the board in the church.

Team Rector, the Rev Alyson Buxton, said: "We are delighted to serve the whole community of Boston by hosting the Community Table Project. We hope that through these free shared meals, and exchanging of recipes, new relationships will be formed with consequent opportunities for valued and deeper understandings of differences."
