Now spring is here why not join one of our 12 weekly health walks.
Enjoy a stroll with a group of like minded people and enjoy the environment around you whilst taking some exercise and making new friends.
Walking has been proved to be the easiest form of exercise and can improve health and wellbeing in many ways. It may be just the gentle introduction to exercise needed for those who take little or no exercise at all.
All fitness levels can be accommodated on the walks, no one gets left behind and all walks are push chair and wheelchair friendly. Walkers can cover as much ground as they feel able from 10 minutes walking to an hour, their choice.
Walking can help to prevent and manage heart disease and can reduce the risk of having a stroke. Regular walking can strengthen bones, reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and depression and increase feelings of independence.
Please find below a Health Walks leaflet showing details of all the walks.
